The September 4 Express Entry draw for immigration to Canada has resulted in 3,600 candidates being issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA). The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold was 463.
In the previous draw, which occurred on August 20, the CRS score cut-off threshold was 457 points. The increase between the two draws is likely due to the fact that more than two weeks has passed between the previous draw and this one.
The tie-breaking rule was applied for the September 4 draw, meaning that not all candidates with 463 points will receive an ITA. As multiple candidates have 463 points, those who submitted their Express Entry profile to the pool before August 23, 2019 at 13:33:34 UTC will be prioritized.
The record low Express Entry cut-off threshold ever for an all-program draw is 413.
When will the next Express Entry draw take place?
There is no public schedule of future Express Entry draws, and so it is not possible to know for certain exactly when the next Express Entry draw will take place. However, IRCC has historically tended to conduct Express Entry draws about every two weeks, and often these draws take place on Wednesdays. However, Express Entry draws can, and do, take place on other days of the week, and sometimes there is a longer or shorter gap between one Express Entry draw and the subsequent, or previous, draw.
