Express Entry Draw #191
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the 11th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of 2021. Express Entry Draw #191 issued 940 invitations to apply (ITAs) to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 711. The CRS score decreased by 2 points compared to the previous PNP draw held on June 09, 2021.
The PNP is aligned with the federal Express Entry system. Candidates that receive a provincial nomination automatically obtain an additional 600 CRS points. The program is designed for workers who have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory. Each province and territory have their own “streams” which vary depending on the province’s needs.
Canada Express Entry system
The Express Entry system of Canada manages applications for immigration under the three economic immigration programs, which as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and the Canadian Experience Class. Most of the Provincial Nominee Programs also have at least one stream or category that is aligned to the federal Express Entry system.
The first step in migrating to Canada through Express Entry is creating an Express Entry profile. The profile is then assessed based on various human capital factors such as age, education, language ability etc. and awarded a CRS score out of 1200.
Those with the highest scores are invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the Express Entry draws that are conducted regularly.
The total number of ITA now issued in 2021 increased to 75,713
Almost doubling the numbers issued compared to this time last year.
IRCC applied its tie-breaking rule with the timestamp of February 16, 2021, at 09:06:30 UTC. This means that Candidates who had the minimum score of 711 are only invited if they submitted their Express Entry profile before the tie-breaking rule.
