Alberta Advantage Immigration Program invites 100 new applicants
On March 1st, 2023, Alberta published the details of the draw conducted by Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), held on February 16, 2023. The above-mentioned draws were part of the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
A total of 100 skilled immigrants were invited to apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence visa. The details of each draw including the number of invites sent out and the required minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores, are as follows:

- Minimum CRS Score: 357
Alberta also released a list of occupations with a large volume of applications for this draw.
These occupations are:
- NOC: 62020 – Food service supervisors
- NOC: 62010 – Retail sales supervisors
- NOC: 63200 – Cooks
- NOC: 21231 – Software engineers and designers
- NOC: 13110 – Administrative assistants
- NOC: 42202 – Early childhood educators and assistants
- NOC: 73300 – Transport truck drivers
- NOC: 12200 – Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
- NOC: 60030 – Restaurant and food service managers
- NOC: 21222 – Information systems specialists
Process to apply for the Alberta Express Entry
- To immigrate to Alberta using the Express Entry program, you must first create an Express Entry profile. The Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Program, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program all use Express Entry as their application management system.
- You will be given a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System if you are eligible for Express Entry. You earn points based on your age, education, work experience, English or French language skills, and other things.
- If you do not want to apply for a provincial nomination, you can immigrate using the Express Entry pathway. But the Express Entry candidates with lower CRS scores can use the PNP to receive an additional 600-point award.
- Then the candidate receives an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from a subsequent Canada Express Entry draw after which he/ she can apply for Canadian permanent residence.
