IRCC Holds Its Second French-Language Category Express Entry Draw
On July 12, 2023, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,800 invitations in the Express Entry draw 258. The minimum CRS score was 375. This draw is specific to applicants who are proficient in the French language. All candidates who meet the minimum point requirement were invited.

Eligibility for French-Language Proficiency Category
You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply under the French-Language Proficiency Category –
- You must have French-language test results with at least 7 CLB in all 4 language abilities on the Niveaux De Compétence Linguistique Canadiens.
- You must qualify for all the requirements in the instructions for that invitation round.
Among the five recently introduced Express Entry selection categories, French-Language Proficiency is the sole category that does not prioritize work experience as the key attribute for receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

The latest CRS draw score is 375. This is the cut-off CRS score for the most recent draw. Anyone with this score or higher would have received an invitation to apply for Express Entry.
