Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
The Canadian Experience Class is one of the three streams under the Express Entry program and is specifically designed for individuals who already have work experience in Canada—such as temporary foreign workers or international graduates.
CEC Eligibility Criteria:
- At least 1 year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience in Canada within the last 3 years
- Work experience must fall under TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 of the NOC system
- Meet minimum language proficiency requirements in English or French
- No proof of settlement funds required
One of the key advantages of the CEC stream is its faster processing time, typically between 6 to 8 months. Because CEC applicants already have Canadian experience, they also receive additional CRS points, improving their chances of receiving an ITA.
