Saskatchewan PNP Invites 535 Candidates To Apply For Permanent Residence
Saskatchewan organized a new draw on September 24 to invite 535 immigration candidates so they can apply for permanent residence. The province focused on inviting candidates with work experience in any of the province’s 81 in-demand occupations.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) issued invitations to candidates belonging to the Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry categories. So far in 2020, the SINP has invited 2,740 candidates in the Occupations In-Demand category. On the other hand, 2,245 candidates have been invited to apply for a provincial nomination via the Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category so far this year. Together, the total number of invitations issued this year is a little under 5,000.
Candidates were required to have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile under the SINP in order to be eligible for an invitation. The minimum score for the September 24 draw was 82 for both the sub-categories.
Eligibility
The SINP utilizes the EOI system to invite immigration candidates who have the potential to succeed in the prairie province. The invited candidates are free to apply for a provincial nomination that will make it easier for them to acquire permanent residence. All the interested candidates should create an EOI profile and provide proof that they are capable of establishing a good life in Saskatchewan.
They should mention their education, work experience, language proficiency, age, and provincial connections. The SINP usually takes these five factors into account when assessing candidates and giving them a score out of 100 based on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.
