In-Demand NOC Occupations Lists (PNP)

Canada PNP In-Demand NOC Occupations Lists

Some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) have specific streams that are targeted to candidates with work experience in a specific occupation, which is in-demand in that particular province.

When this is the case, there is usually no need to hold a job offer in order to be eligible to the stream.

However, only a few provinces have these kinds of streams, and sometimes there are other factors that would prohibit a candidate living and working outside of Canada from applying.

Manitoba (MPNP) has an Express Entry aligned stream, called Manitoba Express Entry pathway, in which candidates do not need a job offer to be eligible. However, they will need to have close friends and/or relatives residing in Manitoba to receive an invitation to apply.

The list of in-demand occupations is pretty long, you can find it here.
For French-speaking candidates, you can still apply even if your work experience is not listed in this list.

For the Morden’s Community Driven Immigration Initiative (MCDII), the targeted in-demand jobs are:

  • Welders
  • Early Childhood Educators (children less than 5 years old)
  • Manufacturing Supervisors
  • Food Service Supervisors (fast food)
  • Construction Managers
  • Carpenters

  • Cooks

Having an experience in one of these occupations does not necessarily mean receiving a provincial nomination.

Indeed, the Morden program only accepts around 50 families per year, and only the occupations that are most in need in the city of Morden will be chosen.
